You can view the difference between the playspace and the chaperone boundary by going to steamvr->developer->developer settings, and clicking on the ”room overview” button.įrom here, if you don't mind your chaperone not lining up with your playspace, you can select ”gigantic space” in the drop-down next to ”quick calibrate”, then click the ”quick calibrate” button, this sets your chaperone boundaries at 10x10m, but if you go back to ”room overview”, you will notice the playspace is still 4x4m. ignoring your 4x4m playspace, test all 4 chaperone boundaries. To test this, you will need to start a vr app, probably home, and physically move to a chaperone boundary. pretend it doesn't exist, and test that the chaperone activates on the boundaries you physically clicked your controllers on. You will get a 4x4m green playspace doing what i ask, but what we wish to verify is that the chaperone activates near where you set the boundaries, not where room setup placed the 4x4m playspace. you can have a 2x2m playspace with your chaperone boundaries at 5圆m.
